Vet Nurse Vacancy – full time, no on-call, July 2017
We are looking for a Qualified Veterinary Nurse to join our small team of nurses at our friendly, independent, small animal practice, in a quiet village on the edge of Cambridge.
We have a Pet Health Club scheme in place, we are a Pet Plan approved practice, provide structured Nursing Clinics, and are always looking to expand our client base to give the highest level of care available. We have recently outsourced our on-call so this is not a requirement of the position although weekend opening hours are supported by nurses on a rota basis.
We have a dedicated reception team and don’t expect our nurses to be receptionists; although we do have a good team spirit and will always help our colleagues whenever we can. This role may suit a recently qualified nurse.
We are looking for a nurse who is:
- Keen to provide excellent client and patient care
- A good communicator
- Happy to participate in Nurse Clinics
- Efficient in anaesthesia and pre & post clinical care
- Diligent in maintaining clinical records
- Willing to support any marketing projects
- Happy to support trainee nurses when necessary
We have a “Continuous Improvement System” in place at Hollyoak, which means that everyone has a say in how the business can improve and evolve; we hold regular meetings and discuss new ideas together to create in-house protocols.
We have a regular appraisal process and practice and personal CPD is actively encouraged.
Hours are 37.5hr a week on a rota of 8am-4pm or 12pm-8pm, Weekends will be on a 1:3 rota with time off in lieu and no on-call.
