Hello, I’m Samantha Bell a Registered Veterinary Nurse here at Hollyoak.
I studied at Harper Adams University and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2012. I enjoyed university so much so that I studied for another year and gained my Honours Degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management. Once I’d qualified I was offered a job at the busy small animal practice where I carried out my training in Suffolk, where I grew up. In my 3 years there I ran puppy parties, organised client education evenings as well as caring for inpatients, monitoring anaesthetics and running clinics.
I came to Hollyoak in August 2016 as I wanted a new challenge and to be closer to my boyfriend who lives in Fen Drayton. The team here are so lovely and the standards of care are exceptional. I really love getting to know clients and their pets and building a bond with them so they learn the vets isn’t so scary after all! I have a particular interest in anaesthesia and inpatient care.
I have a dog called Eadee (posing in the picture with me). She was rescued from the streets of Romania where she was found blind as a puppy and brought over to the UK. Luckily, her sight has returned and we enjoy long walks with my other half’s three working black Labradors. When I have the time, I like to take Eadee to agility classes, she loves it and is fantastic – it’s definitely me that needs the training!
