Welcome to the Hollyoak Veterinary Surgery website!

For all those who have already contacted us, a BIG Thank You for all of your support and good wishes. Many of you have told us that this area is long overdue for it's very own Veterinary Surgery. We promise the wait will have been worth it!

Hollyoak Vets is staffed by an experienced team of two dedicated vets and a highly qualified nursing staff that are capable of seeing to all of the healthcare needs of your small animals. From vaccination boosters, to routine dental work, to complex life-saving surgery, there isn't much that Hollyoak can't handle.

The surgery is owned by Paula Dean, BVSc MRCVS. She's been practicing at various surgeries in Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, and environs for the past 20 years, so many of you will already know her. Paula's goal has always been 'put the animal's well-being first'. Continuity of care is important to her. She wants to know you and your animal companions, and maintain that personal relationship for many years to come.

Paula is an extremely skilled surgeon. Over the years, she has instructed and guided many newly graduated vets in the practical skills of a surgeon. Your beloved pet could be in no better, or safer, hands. Should your pet require more specialised surgery, we can refer you to any of number of highly qualified specialists. Visiting specialists come to Hollyoak Vets for initial consultations so you don't have to travel far from home to get the very best care.

Hollyoak is one of the few surgeries around with its own in-house Animal Behaviourist.  If you have a cat with unpleasant toileting habits, or a dog that is destructive or bites, or animals with firework phobias, or aggressive bunnies, we can help!!

You won't see a different vet every time you come to Hollyoak! Hollyoak is independent, and proud to be bucking the trend toward 'roulette wheel' animal care. You get to see a vet who knows you, and your animal's history, every time you visit us!

Hollyoak Veterinary Surgery has plenty of free parking. 'Officially' there's enough room for 25 cars in our spacious parking lot! But, appointment bookings are well spaced, so you'll think you're the only one who ever comes to see Paula and her team.

Hollyoak Veterinary Surgery

Hollyoak's facilities are purpose-designed with a quiet and beautiful setting, surrounded by green fields. It's laid out for maximum efficiency and optimal patient care. It has a well equipped lab and x-ray equipment normally found in human medicine. The building is divided into two wings. The East wing is devoted to consultations, with a large waiting area and three consultation rooms. The West wing is reserved for clinical care - diagnostic tests, Laboratory, X-ray, Operating Theatre, and separate kennels for dogs and cats and other small animals.

It's easy to get to ... just a few minutes' drive from the centre of Histon, and for many, just a short walk down the road.

You'll always be welcome to have a look. If your pet needs surgery, come and inspect the prep and surgical areas; we will be happy explain the procedures, and show you where your pet will rest and recover. We use the safest anaesthetic agents available to speed your pet's recovery. We're really proud of our modern facilities, meticulous about cleanliness, and always have lots of smiles to go around.

In the meantime, please feel free to call us (01223 232111), or drop us a line via email.
