Bob’s story
is similar to Sky’s. He was also hit by a car and sustained
major damage to his pelvis. Since he too had no microchip it
was not possible to find his owner. No one came looking for
him. The person who scraped him off the road and brought him
to the surgery thought he had seen him on a particular London
street. But queries proved fruitless and no owner was ever
found. So, Bob came to live with the vet! (Editor’s note – * See
below)
Again, the prescription was six
weeks of cage rest. Bob heeled very well, in fact, you can’t
really tell from his gate that he had ever been injured.
Unlike Sky, as soon as he was allowed out of his cage he
integrated well with the other cats in the household. He was a
little shy of the dogs at first, but soon got used to
them as well.

(Editor’s note: a
personal comment from Don Keely: If you are ever looking for
a really good compassionate vet, then ask them how many animals they have. In
Britain today, there are so many accident cases where owners are never
found, and animals who could be healed are simply put down because there's nobody
to pay the vet bill. I really admire Paula
and her crew at Hollyoak, because they genuinely ‘feel’ for
their patients and always put the animal’s well being
first.)
