Hello, I’m Hayley Springett, Clinical Manager and Thermal Imaging and Behaviour Specialist here at Hollyoak Vets.
Before qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse, I gained my degree in Animal Behaviour in 2003 which is now put to good use carrying out behaviour consultations for different pets, referred to me by the vets here at Hollyoak Vets.
After completing my degree, I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2006, and spent several years working in other local practices. I joined Hollyoak when it first opened, helping get the practice up and running before I embarked upon new ventures including lecturing.
Having gained my teaching qualification (PGCE), I taught the Veterinary Nursing alongside Anatomy & Physiology and Animal Behaviour to degree-level students. I was also a Course Manager for several years at a local Agricultural College, before deciding that I wanted to be my own boss!
I headed off to Ohio, USA to train as a Veterinary Thermographer and I now own and run the Cambridgeshire franchise of Veterinary Thermal Imaging, combining my love of animals with science to offer a non-invasive pre-diagnostic tool. So in a nutshell, I carry out Thermal Imaging, behaviour consultations and l am also a locum Vet Nurse here at Hollyoak Vets.
When I do get spare time, I enjoy spending it with my dogs and horse.
